Chapter & Alumni Awards

William D. Davenport, Jr. Award

Originally called the Chapter Award for Outstanding Alumnus, this award recognizes the efforts of our alumni whose contribution of time and advice have helped the chapter become what it is today. The award was renamed in 1990 in honor of Dr. Bill Davenport.

Manuel R. Cunard Award

This award is named in honor of Brother Manny Cunard of Rhode Island Beta who, as the Director of the Joseph Danna Center and Student Activities, was instrumental in the founding of Louisiana Gamma at Loyola. It is the oldest of our awards and, with a single exception, has been presented to a member of every pledge class since the founding of the chapter.

Wesley R. Moynan Award

The chapter's first president is honored by this award given to the chapter's Outstanding Graduating Senior. The award recognizes the comitment of a brother to the cardinal principles of the fraternity throughout his undergraduate experence. It is presented at the Senior Charge in May but all brothers who graduate during the academic year are eligible.
